Privacy policy
This privacy policy explains which personal data are processed when you visit ingenieur-schwarz.de, for what purposes and on what legal basis. Personal data are any data by which you can be personally identified.
Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Sebastian Schwarz

Hosting
This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, owner: René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany (“All-Inkl”). All content of the website, including images and fonts, is stored on All-Inkl’s servers. When you visit this website, All-Inkl processes the technically required data on my behalf, in particular your IP address.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in providing my website securely, quickly and reliably.
I have concluded a data processing agreement with All-Inkl pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. In it, All-Inkl undertakes to process the data only on my instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
Server log files
Each time a page is accessed, the web server automatically collects information transmitted by your browser and stores it in so-called server log files. This includes:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of the request
- page or file requested
- website from which you reached my site (referrer URL), if transmitted by your browser
- browser type and version as well as operating system
- access status (for example successful transfer or error) and amount of data transferred
These data are not merged with other data sources. They serve to provide the website technically, to detect errors and to ensure the security of the systems, for example to fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in operating the website securely and without errors. The log files are deleted automatically as soon as they are no longer required for these purposes. Longer retention is only possible in individual cases, for example if an attack has to be investigated.
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the address bar of your browser starting with “https://” and a padlock symbol being displayed. When encryption is active, the data transferred between your browser and my server cannot be read by third parties.
Contact by email or phone
If you contact me by email or phone, I process the details you provide (for example name, email address, phone number and the content of your enquiry) in order to handle your enquiry and answer any follow-up questions.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary for taking steps prior to entering into a contract, for example a project enquiry or a job offer. In all other cases, the processing is based on my legitimate interest in effectively handling the enquiries addressed to me (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
I do not pass on your details to third parties without your consent. I delete them as soon as your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and the purpose of storage no longer applies. Statutory retention obligations, for example under commercial or tax law, remain unaffected.
There is currently no contact form on this website. As soon as I set one up, I will update this privacy policy accordingly.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. This website only sets technically necessary cookies. I do not use cookies for analytics, marketing or tracking purposes.
Language setting: “pll_language” cookie
For the two language versions (German and English), I use the WordPress plugin Polylang. It runs on my own web space; no data are transferred to the plugin’s developer. By default, Polylang sets the cookie “pll_language” when a page is accessed. It only contains the language code of the page you last visited (“de” or “en”) and no identifier by which you could be identified. Polylang uses it to recognise your language where it cannot be derived from the address. The cookie is deleted automatically after one year.
The legal basis for storing and reading the cookie on your device is Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act), as it is necessary to display the website in the language you have chosen. The associated processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in a functioning bilingual website.
WordPress login cookies
WordPress only sets further cookies (for example “wordpress_test_cookie”, “wordpress_logged_in_…”, “wordpress_sec_…” and “wp-settings-…”) when someone logs in to the administration area of the website. This only affects people who maintain the website’s content, not visitors. The legal basis is Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
You can delete cookies in your browser at any time and restrict or completely prevent cookies from being set. In this case, your language setting may not be saved.
Fonts
The fonts used on this website are stored locally on my web space. When you access the pages, no connection is established to servers of Google or other font providers.
Images
All images on this website are stored on my own web space at All-Inkl. When the images are displayed, no data are transferred to image agencies or other third parties.
Emojis (WordPress)
WordPress includes a small script on every page that checks whether your browser can display current emojis (pictographs such as smileys) itself. This script is loaded from my own web space. Only if your browser does not support certain emojis does WordPress load a further script from my web space that replaces emojis on the page with images. Your browser retrieves these images from the WordPress.org content delivery network at s.w.org. In this case, your IP address is transmitted to the servers of WordPress.org, which may also be located outside the EU, in particular in the USA. With current browsers that can display all emojis themselves, and on pages without emojis, no connection to s.w.org is established.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in emojis being displayed correctly in all browsers. For more information, please see the WordPress.org privacy policy.
Audience measurement with Koko Analytics
To see which pages are viewed and how often, I use the WordPress plugin Koko Analytics. It runs on my own web space at All-Inkl; no data are transferred to the plugin’s developer or other third parties. On this website, Koko Analytics works without cookies and does not store any information on your device.
When a page is accessed, the plugin records the page viewed, the time, the website you came from (referrer), if transmitted by your browser, and any campaign parameters in the address (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign). To recognise whether you have already viewed a page on the same day, the plugin creates a hash from your IP address, your browser identifier (user agent) and a random value that is newly generated every day; your IP address and user agent cannot be derived from this hash. Your IP address and user agent themselves are not stored. The hash and the list of pages viewed that day are only kept temporarily on my server and are deleted daily after midnight together with the random value. Visits on different days can therefore not be linked.
Only aggregated figures are stored permanently, for example page views and visitors per day and page as well as referring websites. These figures do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about individual persons.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in statistically evaluating the use of my website and improving my offer.
No other third-party services
Apart from Koko Analytics as described above, I do not use any analytics or tracking tools. There is no newsletter, there are no social media plugins and no embedded videos.
Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this privacy policy, I only store personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose. If you submit a justified request for deletion, I will delete your data unless there are other legally permissible reasons for storing it, for example retention periods under tax or commercial law. In this case, I will delete the data as soon as these reasons no longer apply.
Your rights
Within the scope of the statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to:
- access to your personal data stored by me (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate or completion of incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- notification of recipients regarding rectification, erasure or restriction (Art. 19 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- object to the processing (Art. 21 GDPR, see below)
To exercise these rights, simply email me: s.schwarz@ingenieur-schwarz.de
Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR
If I process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest), you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. I will then no longer process your data unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Without prejudice to any other remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for me is:
Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA, Bavarian Data Protection Authority)
